HOUSE RULES & DISCIPLINE

We ask that the children:
  • Do not hit, push, bite, kick, scratch or pinch each other.
  • No name calling, teasing, bullying or using bad words.
  • No mistreatment of the daycare items or furniture.
We do not use any kind of spanking or demeaning words to discipline children. We try to explain to the children to use words and communicate with each other and to us. We will re-direct them to another activity when there is a problem. If it gets worse then, they might lose privileges to play with a certain toy they enjoy so they can learn what the consequences are. Time-outs are occasionally used as well to deter negative behaviors. We use positive reinforcement and rewards for good behavior. If negative behavior is continuous then care will be terminated. This is to ensure that all children are kept safe and send home safe in the same condition in which they arrived without any bruises or marks.
The first two weeks of daycare is usually a trial period to see how your child fits in with the other daycare children. The children in our care are all very sweet to each other so we try to maintain a great group of children that get along with one another as we feel that is VERY important.  We do not allow a child to stay in the daycare if they cause any type of bodily harm to another child.
